Franchising Brasil takes Brazilian brands on an immersion and business fair in Buenos Aires
The 11-company delegation will take part in a soft landing seminar, technical visits and Expo Franquicias Argentina in Buenos Aires
From 7 to 10 September, Brazilian brands will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a strategic trade mission. The initiative is promoted by the Franchising Brasil programme — the result of a partnership between the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — dedicated to supporting and accelerating the internationalization of companies in the sector.
The programme includes an in-depth immersion in the local ecosystem through a training seminar at the Embassy of Brazil, technical visits to leading operations in the country and two days of activities at Expo Franquicias Argentina. The initiative has the institutional support of the Embassy of Brazil, the Asociación Argentina de Marcas y Franquicias (AAMF) and the Cámara Argentina de Shopping Centers.
The mission seeks to strengthen trade between the two countries, identify business opportunities and boost the expansion of Brazilian networks in Latin America. The delegation brings together representatives from different market segments, including: Amarjon Biojóias, Andrade, Tavares e Lopes Advogados, Buddha Spa, Chilli Beans, Corpo Bueno, Lavateria, Lave e Pegue, Mercadão dos Óculos, Space Hunters, Ultra Academia and Velox.
On the first day of the official agenda, the executives will attend a Soft Landing Seminar at the Embassy of Brazil. The session will cover Argentina’s political and economic landscape, regulatory frameworks, credit solutions with Banco Patagonia, trademark and franchise legislation and shopping centre sector trends. The day’s programme also includes a panel with local and international franchisors, a local market case presented by the Casa do Construtor network and a networking cocktail hosted by AAMF.
The second day will be dedicated to technical visits. The delegation will see first-hand the operations of the Buenos Aires Bakery chain, the business model of a local service-sector operator and the structure of the Alto Palermo shopping centre, one of the main malls in the Argentine capital. This stage aims to detail the operational routine, consumer profiles and technical requirements of Argentine retail.
On 9 and 10 September, the delegation will take part in Expo Franquicias Argentina, at the Franchising Brasil pavilion. The space serves as a showcase for business meetings, presentations of franchise models to investors and prospecting for new business partners in the country. Brands such as Corpo Bueno, Amarjon Biojoias, Lave & Pegue and Mercadão dos Óculos will exhibit at the pavilion, while visiting executives and consultants will tour the event to expand their network of contacts in the South American market.
For Andrea Ferrari, executive manager of Franchising Brasil and International Projects manager at ABF, the mission was designed precisely to go beyond brand exposure. “The main goal of this mission to Argentina is to provide a real ‘soft landing’ for our companies. By combining technical training, field visits and business meetings at Expo Franquicias, we give Brazilian networks the confidence they need for their expansion into the Argentine market to be structured, assertive and lasting,” she concludes.
