Brand representatives will take part in an immersion with workshops, site visits, and participation in Expofranchise 2025.
From October 15 to 18, Franchising Brasil — a partnership between the Brazilian Association of Franchising (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), focused on the internationalization of Brazilian companies in the franchise sector — will lead a delegation of 16 Brazilian franchise brands to Lisbon for a trade mission.
The agenda, designed to strengthen trade relations and the international presence of Brazilian brands, includes an immersion in the Portuguese franchise sector through workshops, site visits to industry stakeholders, and two days of participation in Expofranchise 2025.
The participating franchises include: Bateras Beat, Barão Select, Corpo Bueno, Doutor Sofá, Eco Smart Lavanderia, Jah Açaí, Lave & Pegue, L’Entrecôte de Paris, Mercadão dos Óculos, New Shoes, Rede Vistorias, RZD, Space Hunters, Urban Performance, VC.autor, and Yungas.
On the first day, participants will attend workshops at the headquarters of AICEP (Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency). The event will address the internationalization of franchising, exploring marketing strategies, new market opportunities, legal aspects in Portugal and Europe, and the role of retail and shopping centers in the global expansion of franchise networks.
On the second day, franchise representatives will visit Nata Lisboa, a Portuguese coffee shop network inspired by the iconic pastel de nata; Doutor Finanças, a Portuguese company specializing in financial solutions and financial education; TAB, a branding and strategic communication agency dedicated to creating, positioning, and strengthening brands; and UBBO, one of Portugal’s largest shopping centers.
On the third and fourth days, participants will attend Expofranchise 2025 at the Pátio da Galé, in Praça do Comércio, Lisbon. The event will bring together more than 60 Portuguese and international brands and will feature a program of talks, workshops, and special networking spaces, offering opportunities for both entrepreneurs and investors.
At the Franchising Brasil booth, eight exhibiting companies will have the opportunity to represent their brands and hold business meetings. Visiting companies, in turn, will have more opportunities to explore the other booths and expand their networks.
Bruno Amado, Executive Manager of Franchising Brasil and International Projects Manager at the ABF, emphasizes that Portugal is a strategic market for franchise internationalization. “According to the latest International Franchise Certificate from Franchising Brasil, about 48% of the Brazilian brands associated with the program already operate in Portugal. Participating in Expofranchise 2025 is therefore an opportunity to strengthen these relationships and expand business opportunities for Brazilian franchise networks,” he says.
