From October 7 to 10, 18 Brazilian companies participated in a mission to Santiago, Chile, with business rounds, workshops and technical visits. Organized by Franchising Brasil — a program for the internationalization of the franchise sector carried out through a partnership between the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — the mission aimed to explore new opportunities in the Chilean market. Business is expected to total US$2.875 million, reflecting the success of the interactions and the potential for future partnerships.
The franchises that took part in the mission include renowned brands such as Acquazero, Bibi, Buddha Spa, Doutor Hérnia, Emagrecentro, Espaçolaser, Giraffas, Global Franchise, Goakira, Eyebrow Design, Jorge Bischoff, Localiza, My Robot, Panobianco, Pra Comer, Tropicool, Unhas Cariocas and LAS Leonildo Junior Ltda.
The mission’s agenda was carefully planned to provide a comprehensive overview of the Chilean market. On the first day, participants had the opportunity to hear from the Brazilian ambassador to Chile, who presented an overview of the local market. Invest Chile and the Santiago Chamber of Commerce also participated in the presentation, offering valuable insights into the business environment and trade promotion tools available in the country.
Technical visits to prominent Chilean companies, such as Doggis and Parque Arauco Shopping Center, allowed Brazilian entrepreneurs to gain practical immersion in the operations and successful strategies of franchises in Chile. Another highlight of the mission was the business round held on October 8, which brought together Brazilian franchisors with representatives of important Chilean brands. This event made it possible to expand contact networks and identify new expansion opportunities.
Bruno Amado, executive manager of Franchising Brasil and International Projects at ABF, highlighted the importance of the mission: “this is a unique opportunity for Brazilian franchises to establish themselves in a dynamic and promising market like Chile. The agenda of activities offered not only business opportunities, but also the chance to learn from the best practices of the local market, enabling strategic collaboration and strengthening operations in the future.”
