Between May 7th and 10th, 19 Brazilian companies participated in the Miami Mission, organized by Franchising Brasil — an internationalization program for the franchise sector carried out through a partnership between the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) —, with the aim of getting to know the American market better and exploring new business opportunities. After the fair, the delegation had approximately US$ 2.110 million in expected business, reflecting the success of the business contacts and potential future partnerships.
The delegation was composed of companies CleanNew, Space Hunters, Giraffas, Bee Delivery, VC. The mission’s schedule was carefully planned to provide a comprehensive overview of the internationalization process in the United States. On the first day, the delegation participated in a workshop on the legal and bureaucratic aspects of the brand’s entry into the country. On the second day, the representatives made technical visits to companies from different sectors that operate in the franchise format and in the city of Miami, such as Infinity Beyond Fitness, School of Rock, and Lime Fresh – Mexican Grill.
On the third and fourth days of the mission, the Brazilian delegation participated in the inaugural edition, with 10 companies as exhibitors, of the IFA World Franchise Show, an international fair supported by the International Franchise Association (IFA), in which participants were able to create valuable connections with investors from abroad and expand their networking and business opportunities in the foreign market.
Bruno Amado, executive manager of Franchising Brasil and International Projects at ABF, highlights: “The United States continues to be one of the most strategic destinations for the internationalization of Brazilian franchises, driven by the strength of its economy and the high development of the franchising sector in the country”.
“The mission in Miami and participation in the first edition of the IFA World Franchise Show reaffirm Franchising Brasil’s commitment to expanding the global presence of Brazilian franchises, and highlight the competitiveness and innovation of Brazilian brands in demanding markets such as the North American market,” he concluded.
